My wife and I moved to this area from the East Coast. We purchased our lot adjacent to the golf course, and we love it. I have been involved in the new construction process 7 times; this was the second time for my wife. Sheffield's semi-custom homes give the buyer what seems like a million options and decisions that need to be made. We both work and are very busy. Our sales person Jesse is also an interior designer and we could not have gotten through all the decisions that needed to be made without her help and advice. She made it a lot easier. Jesse worked closely with us on virtually all phases of the home design, even including the various electrical and lighting options. We chose a custom design for the granite kitchen countertop and unfortunately the wrong item was delivered. Sheffield corrected the problem immediately and made sure we received the countertop we wanted, no questions asked. We were on the job site regularly and whenever I noticed even the smallest deficit, Mark, our supervisor, corrected it immediately. It was the shortest final punch list I have ever seen. It's unbelievable how good they are about fixing things. They take pride in their finished product like no contractor I have ever seen before. For instance: a neighbor's dishwasher flood in their new home and Sheffield insisted on replacing the hardwood floor immediately. Another neighbor's basement flooded from a broken sprinkler line and it was repaired immediately. Mark insisted on having the bathroom tile re-done in a brand new bathroom because it did not meet his standards. This is what a Sheffield neighborhood is all about. If something is wrong, they fix it. Never a fight. We have been here since September and are very happy.

We moved here recently from Chicago when my wife was transferred. Our house sold very quickly and we did not want to wait to have a house built. We found a newly constructed home by Sheffield close to where my wife works. The house had most of the amenities that we would have chosen if we had built a custom home; the interior decor was neutral and worked well for us. We wanted to finish the basement and hired Sheffield to do the work.
The best thing was the way they did the project. We had already moved in and Sheffield found a way to completely finish our basement to have three bedrooms, 1 and 1/2 bathrooms, and a game room in a very un-intrusive way. The workmen were able to bring all the construction materials through one basement windows; it was amazing. We do not have a walk-out basement - the project was done using the existing 5' X 5' windows. The entire project took about seven weeks, which was ahead of schedule. The quality of the construction is excellent. All dealings with the company have been positive so far. Especially with our project manager, Mark who is a very nice, good person. The staff at Sheffield is impressive. We also enjoyed working with Sean who was our salesperson; he was very accommodating with changes we requested. We decided to extend the patio at the same time we finished the basement. Sean made sure that the patio extension was coordinated with the concrete company and the basement finishing. Both projects were seamlessly done at the same time.
When doing the final basement walk-through with Mark, there were only a few things that needed to be taken care of; and Mark added items to the punch list that I had not noticed. The punch list was taken care of and Mark made sure we were happy with the end result. Sheffield Homes left everything in great shape. Our guests enjoy staying with us and it's nice to have a little extra room for our company.
