You can call our main office and speak to our Basement Manager or fill out our Consultation form located under the Contact Tab.

Is there a Fee for the consultation?
We are happy to come meet you and discuss your basement needs under NO obligation, with NO fee.

What is the estimated cost to finish a basement?
With every basement being unique, in order to give you an estimated cost we use a process of measurements and potential design specifically for your basement, which we are happy to provide to you upon our initial consultation. Once we come in to meet with you and discuss what you want, Sheffield Homes Finished Basements and More can give you a GUARANTEED base price which stays true throughout your entire project.

How long does a basement finish take?
On average a basement can take 8 – 12 weeks. Sheffield Homes Finished Basements More can provide you with a more accurate timeline once we have reviewed all of the details you wish to include.

What is the resale value of a finished basement or upgraded remodeling project?

Do I need a permit for a basement finish or remodeling project?
Absolutely! Sheffield Homes Finished Basements and More pulls the permit and handles setting up all the inspections for your project, all of which is included in the bid price of your project.

What areas/cities do you work in?
Sheffield Homes Finished Basements and More, covers a large, diverse area for all our projects. Starting with Denver Metro Areas and expanding to those surrounding them including along the Front Range, into Longmont, and down to Castle Rock.

Is there a warranty included when you finish a basement?
All work done on our projects, unless otherwise specified, includes a one year warranty.

Do you only finish basements?
Sheffield Homes does it all! We build homes from the ground up; Build additions on to current homes; Remodel portions of homes, inside and out; and finish basements.

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, Sheffield Homes Finished Basements and More is fully licensed and insured on all projects.

Who designs our basement?
Sheffield Homes has a long standing working relationship with the award winning architects at Godden/Sudik Architects to develop the basement you are dreaming of. We also have the capability to work with a plan already designed.

Is a kitchen allowed in a basement?
The only kitchen appliance not allowed in a basement for most areas is a stove top. All other kitchen appliances are usually allowed, but Sheffield Homes Finished Basements and More will check items you want with the local building department to verify specific codes.

Is a Fireplace allowed in a basement?
Most basements are allowed a gas fireplace as long as a direct vent can be installed.

Can rough plumbing for a bathroom be moved or added?
Yes is the simple answer. There are guidelines that have to be followed, which our Basement Manager will be happy to discuss with you at the initial consultation.

Can we still make changes after we sign a contract?
Yes. As the client we want you to get everything you want. We have a procedure in place to allow for Change Orders on all projects.

Will our home be messy during the project?
Sheffield Homes Finished Basements and More makes every effort to keep all projects clean at all times. Therefore we use a plastic zipper partition that keeps the majority of the dust and debris in the work site and out of the rest of your home.

How soon after we sign a contract does the work start to finish our basement?
On average the project would start within two weeks from the date you sign the contract. In the two weeks, Sheffield Homes Finished Basements and More applies for the permits and works with you through the design center on your choices for your basement to make sure you are getting everything you want. However, we are more than happy to accommodate an earlier start if your project requires it.
